Avoid this place like the plague!!!
I would give it less if I could. This place was terrible. Hell after we checked in got to our room the first thing I saw was roaches walking EVERYWHERE. Had to stay it's late at night no room in the car. Walked my dog realized the rest of the place was condemned. Continental breakfast was cold cereal 1 kind, and English muffins that's it. Comfort Inn should be ashamed of themselves for being part of this. CONDEMN THE WHOLE DAMN PLACE. Very dangerous STAY AWAY.
I arrived around 9:30 pm on Friday 7/28, service was good and the girl at the front desk was friendly. She gave me my key card which did not work. I came back to tell her and she got it to work on the back door and said the front one was dead bolted which was why it did not work. The first room 508 was dirty, there were stains on the couch and walls, the bathroom light was broken and there were flies in the bathroom and the sheets were dirty with hairs on them. I came back and told her and she put me in the room next door, 509. The key card didn't work again even though I tried front and back doors, I went back to the front desk and she had to use the master key card to enter. This room had a terrible smell to it and there were signs of severe water damage in the walls and roof and I suspected the smell was mold. The sheets in this room were also dirty with dirt and blood stains on them. I came back to the front desk and explained I was leaving because it was late and I wanted to sleep and did not believe I would find a clean room there. I requested a refund and was told she would have to check with her boss the next day if it was possible, even though I spent less than an hour there and checked out the same night. Worst experience in a hotel in my life.
Stay away if you want to sleep!!! The check-in guy-Orson- was friendly & polite but allowed the party out front to go on till to 2 am of which he was included-mostly innocent young men banter- but loud--music pounding. The older couple next door checked out 4 hours after arriving-very mad they couldn't get money back that night. One guy on phone leaning against our door talking loud. Running & knocking on doors in hall @ midnight. Don't know if all these guys were actually guests or homeless friends. Never again. Emporia-exit11 @ Rt 58. Dirty & run down. Do people a favor & close. Better yet-make it a homeless shelter ,they would keep it cleaner & & would give the place a purpose. Go down next few exits South- many motels to choose . Also don't leave anything of value in room if you go out to eat. One of our bags was missing . The place is a den of thieves. Starting with the workers who run the place.
If it wasn't for the fact that I would have fell asleep on the road and killed all of us at 1am, I would never have stayed here!
We did not end up staying the night. The staff was friendly and helpful and did refund our stay. The room itself was not terrible, but we did immediately see a small spider like bug in the bed when moving the covers. There were a handful more in the bathroom and the main room sink area. We were not going to have a restful stay, so we headed out immediately. The location was nice. There are gas stations and restaurants in the stress that are nice.
This place was horrible! The only good experience about here is the shower head. The room smelled bad. The sheets were not changed. There was soap from the previous guest. The bathroom was stopped up. And the building looks like its falling apart.
